The small children came home today, finally. A month is a long time away.
RJ, she’s 10, had been home about 3 minutes when she noticed I had moved all of their clay sculptures, including her birds, into the curio cabinet. This reminded her of a movie she watched on her flight home…
"It was a really long flight, so I watched a movie and there was this weird thing about it."
What was weird? (that’s me trying to cut to the chase)
"Well there were two men, and this wasn’t the primary theme of the movie, but these two men kept trying to kill a mockingbird."
LOLOL (that’s me laughing)
"I never could figure out why they kept trying to kill this poor mockingbird."
LOLOLOLOL (me laughing some more)
"I mean really, why would they want to kill a sweet little mockingbird. I don’t get it."
I know, people are weird, aren’t they? (me trying not to laugh and be sympathetic about the plight of poor mockingbirds.)
Heh.

LOL, that’s cute…make sure and tell her Boo Radley is living in SC

If I told her that, she’d get confused and think Ken (my mom’s b/f) was Boo Radley or something. To her, SC is that house that I lived in before I moved to the Flamingo House.
I’m trying to decide if I want to talk to her about it being a sin to kill mockingbirds but she can shoot anything else she wants. What do you think? Should I address that, or leave it alone?

Cute story…
but if ya really had a mockingbird outside your window overnight for night after night, something I know you would appreciate given your animal farm comments, then you have a good idea why someone might be a tad miffed at the little dear mockingbird.
