Michelle’s first drawing in her art class, from last night. Hands are hard. Picasso is not her favorite artist (she likes Dali) but I think she enjoyed drawing this.
This is going to seem like an odd questions but did she have to draw the image upside down? (I swear I have a valid reason for asking and I’ll explain.)
Ok. Now my reason for asking – my 8th grade french teacher was also an artist so every now and then instead of french class we’d have art. We all bought sketch books, etc.
One day he passed around a piece of paper and we to NOT turn it around. We were to just draw it.
When we finished and turned it right-side up it was the same thing that Michelle drew. Mine turned out ok except the poor guy had wide shoulders and and itty bitty head.
We rolled our eyes a lot at the french/art teacher. But mostly because we didn’t like him very much. He wasn’t very nice and he showed up to school with hickeys and we all knew that his girlfriend/fiance lived about 1200km away and that was just not cool.

She has to draw upside down for homework. She rolled her eyes when she talked about it lol.

cool drawing…looks like blind contour kinda…is it just a drawing class or art in general?

Art fundamentals – mostly drawing (pencil, charcoal), india ink and acrylics toward the end. I seem to have misplaced my copy of the syllabus, lol.
