Important Lessons Learned

Last week Charles brought “the baby” over for a visit. (The baby’s mom was at home finishing her online Spanish class so “Uncle Chuck” was babysitting.) This was the first time Michelle had seen “Izzy” and only the second time I have seen her. She’s gorgeous and very sweet.

Michelle learned several important lessons while Izzy was here. Very important lessons.

1) Babies are cute.

2) Formula is really expensive. REALLY expensive.

3) Even really cute and good tempered babies get angry and sad and are difficult to console.

4) Having a baby means you are not able to do what you want to do, what you had planned to do, what you were thinking about doing. Instead, you must do what the baby wants, needs and expects you to do.

Very very important lessons for a 17 (and a half) year old girl.

  1. Ohhhh – she’s a natural! 😉

Oh boy. I can hardly remember the first six months of my girls’ lives. I was so exhausted and out of it. I do love to hold a baby, though. And the diapers! You could fund a college education for how much is put out on diapers alone.

    Nice pic of both.
